I am a dual Mauritian and Portuguese national and holder of a South African Master Mariner (STCW II/2) Foreign Going Unlimited Certificate of Competency, with sixteen years seagoing experience on a variety of vessels including Bulk Carriers, Crude Oil Tankers, General Cargo Ships and Multi-Purpose Vessels (Teu/Pax/Livestock/General) between January 1993 and October 2008. My seagoing career was with one company that is based in Mauritius.

After leaving the sea I began my career as a marine surveyor with BMT Marine & Offshore Surveys (Incorporating the Salvage Association) and have grown with the same company under its various iterations since then to what ABL is today. Over the years, I have progressed from an entry level surveyor to the position of Managing Director of the Maritime Business line for ABL in the MENSA & India region.
