Qualifying as a solicitor in 2006, Steve worked in private practice before joining the West of England P&I Club in August 2013. Whilst in private practice, Steve gained experience in a wide range of disciplines including environmental/fisheries, offshore, ship-building/finance, cargo claims and trade finance.

Since joining the West of England in 2013, Steve has worked with shipowners and charterers in Europe, Turkey, Middle East, USA, South America and Asia handling both P&I and Defence claims.  Steve is currently a Senior Claims Manager in the Eastern Claims Team based in London.

Complementing his claims handling role, in 2017 Steve was appointed as West of England’s Correspondent Manager tasked with maintaining the Club’s correspondent, surveyor and international legal network, and representing the Club on the International Group’s Correspondent Committee.
