Roshan is a seasoned professional in the marine insurance sector with over 11 years of experience managing complex claims across domains such as Cargo, Hull, Port Package, and Offshore Energy. Before transitioning to marine insurance, Roshan spent five years at sea as a navigating officer and marine engineer, sailing worldwide on bulk carriers and LPG ships, including voyages in Arctic waters.

Roshan holds a BSc in Maritime Science degree and an ACII qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. His exceptional performance in the IUMI Cargo Tutorial earned him a prestigious bursary from the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Insurance Law & Practice at the World Maritime University, Sweden. He is also an Associate member of Association of Average Adjusters, UK.

While handling marine claims end-to-end, Roshan has overseen processes such as surveyor/adjuster appointments, litigation management and subrogation actions through recovery agents and maritime law firms.

After spending a decade with India’s leading non-life insurer, The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., Roshan joined India International Insurance Pte Ltd in Singapore, where he continues to manage maritime claims as Head of Marine Claims Department.
