Richard is the Technical Authority, Hull & Machinery Services – based in London. He specialises in major marine casualty investigations including machinery failures, groundings, total losses, seaworthiness disputes, cargo recovery and collisions.

Richard’s background includes engineering and management roles in the industry. He has been involved in numerous contentious and non-contentious claims, Hull and Machinery damages, accident/incident route cause analysis, P&I and cargo survey work, general average/seaworthiness claims as well as fixed object damage.

Richard is a qualified ISM auditor with extensive experience in ship audits and inspections, including pre-purchase inspections. Richard has a degree in Mechanical and Marine Engineer, is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
