Paul began his insurance career in 1989 with C E Heath in a broker back-up function in their provincial office. He moved to London with Alexander Howden in 1996, shortly after which they became part of Aon. Within Aon, Paul gained a wide range of experience and knowledge including two years as a placing broker for Caribbean Facultative Property Reinsurance business and five years in Knowledge Management and Communications where he was promoted to head up the team. It was during this time that Paul created the original data collation platform that went on to become Aon’s GRIP. From Aon, Paul moved to Mitsui Sumitomo in 2006 where, as well as being responsible for collating and reporting on treaty performance, he ran the back office functions for three European branches. Paul joined the IUA in October 2012 where he is currently Senior Market Services Executive.
