Nick graduated from Cardiff in Mining Geology and originally worked internationally as a geologist on drilling rigs and then for Shell, and subsequently Sonangol, in various risk & insurance management roles in their upstream, marine and chemical businesses for over ten years. Nick then transitioned to GE Insurance Solutions as a reinsurance portfolio risk manager until their acquisition by Swiss Re. Since 2012 has been responsible for Swiss Re’s Reinsurance Energy Product. Despite his desk being in London, Nick has lived in Edinburgh since 2006 with his Scots wife and a ginger cat. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
