Matt is currently Senior Underwriter – marine hull and yachts at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. He began his insurance career in 2005 at Mercia Marine, a small Lloyd’s cover holder. Here he started as an underwriting assistant, working on a portfolio of pleasure craft and small commercial vessels; writing business for various Lloyd’s syndicates.

In 2011 he joined Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty as an underwriting assistant, initially working on pleasure craft and yachts. Matt worked his way up within the marine hull department and today his focus is largely on blue water hull clients, underwriting fleets of commercial vessels that trade globally.

Matt sits on the Joint Hull Committee’s Navigating Limits Sub-Committee.
