Giacomo is a Naval Architect with over 10 years of experience in marine salvage, wreck removal, and casualty investigation, having worked on projects across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) in the UK.

He has broad worldwide experience in marine casualty management, investigations, and expert witness work. He has been engaged by international salvage contractors as the team Naval Architect on salvage operations in environmentally sensitive areas and has provided remote engineering support for challenging refloating operations.

Giacomo regularly provides technical consultancy services to P&I Clubs, law firms, H&M insurers, shipowners, cargo owners, and government bodies. His work includes acting as Client Representative, reviewing and advising on technical proposals and methodologies, undertaking naval architecture calculations, and assisting with the drafting and review of commercial contracts.
