David Williams is Head of Underwriting at NorthStandard EU , where he leads underwriting activities across the EU platform working closely with shipowners, charterers and brokers to deliver tailored insurance and risk management solutions. He is responsible for developing new business relationships and supporting NorthStandard’ growth across core European markets. David has more than 15 years of experience in marine insurance and has held a variety of roles at the club throughout his career. This broad experience has provided him with an extensive knowledge of the shipping industry and the evolving risks faced by maritime businesses.  David’s expertise includes P&I,  Charterers’ liability, small craft, and specialist marine insurance solutions such as Strike and Delay. A regular contributor to industry discussions, David provides insight into underwriting trends, emerging maritime risks and the future challenges facing the global shipping sector.
