Chris Gascoigne is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.  Having served at sea as an engineer and environmental officer, he entered marine consultancy in 2008 and joined Solis Marine Consultants in 2021.

Chris’ extensive consultancy experience includes investigating and providing expert opinion on machinery failures, bunker disputes, fire, environmental compliance, and pollution.  His other shoreside experience has involved engine commissioning, new-build environmental systems design, and the trials and application of environmentally acceptable lubricants in various ships’ systems.
